At the first glance, this picture, taken on the night of the May 4, 2004, lunar eclipse, seems to be missed. But have a close inspection of it and you'll see a white edging on the right of the cloud. What can illuminate this cloud like that?
It's Venus, which was particularly bright during that week. The clouds have just masked it, but its glow is still visible.
On the left, Saturn roaming in the constellation of Gemini, is the brightest object of this picture.
