A weird sunspot |

Its the sunspot 649 turn to cross the very distorting atmosphere layer. Its shape is puzzling: it looks like two fuzzy vertical strokes separed by a little gap. In fact, its the same phenomenon as a mirage over a hot road. The sunspot should be invisible bacause it is located just behind the layer, but it reflects itself over and under this layer, like an object behind a double side mirror hold horizontally and which reflects on its two surfaces.
