The Decembre 2004 Full Moon was the smallest in 2004, because it occur about 3 hours after the apogee (the farest point of the Moon orbit). Then, the Moon being farest from the Earth, its diameter was smallest.
In this composite, I superpose the Full Moon over 2 others Moon picture taken 6 and 9 days before. And we also establishe that the Full Moon is smallest than the crescent of a 5 days and a half old Moon . |
