To plagiarize Magritte, this is not a Perseid. But here, it's true: it's not a Perseid, but an Iridium flash. Lost in the contemplation of the sky and the shooting stars, I missed the biginning of Iridium 33, hence its shooting star shape.
In fact, that night, the Perseids weren't numerous nor bright!
In the foreground, you can see our cosy camp: mattress, quilt and a canvas to avoid moisture. With biscuits and coffe, the 6 hours spent there were pleasant despite a fresh wind for August. |
