I was waiting for it since nearly 15 years, when I discovered it in a specialized book about halos.
And today, as I was going back to my car to put my parking ticket behind the windscreen, I give a quick look at the sky and saw it: the parhelic circle! I had the time to leave the poor Sabine on the parking and rush home to realize some pictures necessary to make this virtual reality view.
In the next picture, you can notice the the parhelic circle is surrounding the zenith at a constant distance regarding the horizon. |
